Do you want to change how the world creates? At Formlabs, we’re building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. Together, we’re helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before. In this role you will help building and shipping PreForm , own PreForm's quality and performance signal - make quality automated, measurable, and enforced at the PR gate. We’re a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you’re ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us. The Job: Performance regression detection. Per-PR and nightly measurement of the defined KPIs (startup, upload, print generation, crash rate) in CI, with alerting on regression. This is the enforcement mechanism for the PreForm performance initiative. Systemtest re-architecture on the PreForm Local API. Rebuild the systemtest layer to drive end-to-end scenarios headlessly through PreForm Server, in alignment with the API team. Customer-file corpus testing. Build and own a pipeline that runs large batches of real customer models through slicing and support generation and diffs results against baselines - catching regressions on the geometry customers actually print, at a scale manual testing cannot reach. Crash intelligence. Own Sentry triage, trending, and root-cause attribution; build crash-reproduction harnesses so engineers fix rather than investigate. Test infrastructure stewardship. Print regression baselines, CI flake, test runtimes, golden-file management - owned as a product instead of taxing feature engineers. You: C++ proficiency. Able to write integration and system tests against PreForm internals and understand what they exercise (mesh operations, print file generation, slicing output). Not necessarily a geometry expert; not afraid of the codebase. Python for tooling and harnesses. Corpus pipelines, API-driven test drivers, result diffing and reporting. CI and automation depth. Jenkins, test parallelization, flake management, baseline/golden-file testing strategies. Observability instinct. Sentry, Amplitude, crash and performance dashboards. Treats 'is this release healthy' as a data question. Desktop application testing experience (strong plus). GUI automation on Windows/macOS (Squish or Qt Test-based harnesses) Seniority: mid-to-senior IC. Senior enough to define the test strategy independently; hands-on enough to build it. Real IC appetite. Bonus Skills: Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies Experience in a fast-growing startup environment We Offer: Hybrid work Catered lunch at the office 3 days per week Private health insurance with Medicare (Blue package + hospital coverage) A monthly or quarterly public transportation pass for Budapest Shares in the company (we're a double unicorn company!) Free beverages and snacks at the office All You Can Move sports pass Free 3D prints An inclusive, dog-friendly office with diverse and inspiring colleagues Development opportunities both in-house and off-site Fun team events We build amazing things. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
