What you’ll do Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and support application programming interfaces (APIs), backend services, and distributed systems using Ruby, Java, Go and Scala. Design and build systems to securely store, manage, and modify production data and services. Improve engineering standards, development tools, and software development processes to enhance system quality and efficiency. Who you are Minimum requirements Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of software development experience. Must also have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Developing Software Applications. Working with programming languages: Ruby, Java, Scala or Go. Building backend or full-stack applications for large-scale systems. Designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and distributed systems in a production environment. Writing unit tests and performing manual testing for software changes. Implementing Industry-standard software design patterns including distributed systems, event driven architecture, fault-tolerant systems, cost-effective engineering. Salary: $156,800.00 – $235,200.00/yr This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary. 40 hrs/week 50% Telecommuting Permitted. Multiple Positions Available. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
