Position Overview The Senior Analyst of StepStone Private Debt – DSE will be responsible for maintenance and development of the company’s Portfolio management system and the logic processes which drive it. The Senior Analyst will work with the members of the team to assist on various projects and innovations for the firm. Essential Job Functions: Data mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development and business strategies. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy. Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems. Carry out issue identification and analysis techniques, such as pattern analysis and root cause analysis, to help identify issues and propose solutions. Plan, design and develop dashboards, ongoing reporting, and segmentation strategies. Work close to stakeholders gathering requirements, performing analysis, and delivering complex analysis to supply data driven insight to support strategic business decision-making Assist in development of the Logic behind the portfolio management system Constantly identify areas for improvement Analyse and process business data to address ad-hoc requests Ad–hoc administrative & support tasks Support other people within the team during absences Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Possess a bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical/quantitative discipline), Masters’ degree in above area is preferred Relevant experience in computing/code writing environment (2+ years) Demonstrable programming skills is a must (preferred T-SQL, VBA) Experience with other computing languages (outside of those mentioned earlier) is a bonus Data visualisation skills are a bonus Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Flexibility—StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization; all professionals are expected to perform multiple functions Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines Acute attention to accuracy and detail Promote and demonstrate a positive, team‐oriented attitude Dynamic, smart, enthusiastic, hard-working and a self-starter Other Attributes: Willingness to work a flexible schedule High level of confidentiality Commitment to learning #LI-Hybrid At StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
