Lead Analyst, SMS Remarketing Location: Cambridge, MA / Hybrid (This role requires working in-office 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.) About us: EverQuote is a leading AI-powered growth solutions partner for regulated property and casualty insurance entities, enabling the largest insurance carriers and thousands of agents to maximize customer acquisition across digital channels. Fueled by our proprietary data assets and our AI traffic engine, EverQuote is transforming the way providers attract and engage consumers to grow market share. Joining our team puts you at the forefront of this transformation. You will collaborate with a group of builders to solve complex problems and reshape a massive industry. If you want to drive real-world impact and do the best work of your career, you’ve found your home. We move fast, follow the data, and hold ourselves to high standards. If that's how you work too, this is the role for you. About the role: As the Lead Analyst, SMS Remarketing, you will own EverQuote’s SMS remarketing channel end to end. You are the single expert and owner for how EverQuote shows up in consumers’ text messages, responsible for everything from message strategy and deliverability to compliance, measurement, and the revenue the channel drives back into the marketplace. You will report to the Analytics Lead, Remarketing and work closely with Engineering, Product, and Data Science. This is a deeply technical, high-ownership role. We are looking for someone who is a true SMS expert and a true analyst, equally comfortable diagnosing a carrier deliverability issue and building the analysis that tells leadership what the channel is worth and where to push next. What you’ll do: End-to-End SMS Channel Ownership Own the SMS remarketing channel as the single accountable expert, from strategy and roadmap through execution and performance. Design and manage the message program: audience segmentation, cadence, templates, flows, and the send calendar, coordinated with the broader remarketing program. Set the direction for where the channel goes next and give input on remarketing strategy within your area. Deliverability & Messaging Infrastructure Health Own SMS deliverability end to end: carrier acceptance, A2P/10DLC registration health, throughput and queue management, number and pool management, and sender reputation. Monitor and diagnose delivery issues (blocked, undeliverable, and invalid-number errors), quantify their impact, and drive fixes with Engineering. Build and maintain monitoring for delivery health and opt-out rates so problems are caught early, not after they cost revenue. Compliance & Consumer Trust Own SMS compliance in full: TCPA, quiet-hours handling, consent capture, and opt-out (STOP/HELP) processing and suppression logic. Keep the program defensible and consumer-first, staying ahead of regulatory changes such as evolving consent standards. Analytics, Measurement & Experimentation Own end-to-end measurement for the channel: engagement, opt-out and deliverability diagnostics, funnel performance, and the connection from SMS engagement to downstream marketplace revenue. Use SQL to pull and shape your own data, build dashboards, and produce clear readouts for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Measure the true incremental impact of the channel, not just surface engagement, using holdout and control-group designs, so we know what SMS is actually adding on top of everything else. Design, launch, and evaluate experiments across cadence, creative, timing, and segmentation, and use the results to optimize. Bring analytical depth to hard channel problems such as opt-out drivers and suppression decisions. Experimentation & 0 to 1 Program Building Take new SMS flows and pilots from 0 to 1, document learnings, and build the SMS playbook for what works at EverQuote. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing Partner with Engineering, Product, and Data Science on tooling, data flows, and channel improvements. Serve as the go-to SMS resource for the team, mentor more junior analysts, and keep the channel well documented so it does not live only in your head. What you bring to the team: 5+ years of experience in SMS, messaging, lifecycle, or growth analytics, with hands-on ownership of SMS or messaging programs. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field OR demonstrated analytical ability or equivalent hands-on professional experience. Deep, practical understanding of how SMS works, including several of: the carrier ecosystem and A2P/10DLC registration, deliverability and delivery-error handling, sending infrastructure (throughput, number and pool management, sender reputation), and message program design (segmentation, cadence, templates). Strong grasp of SMS compliance: consent, opt-out handling, TCPA, and quiet-hours rules. Proficient in SQL, comfortable querying and shaping large datasets independently (Snowflake a plus). Solid experimentation and A/B testing fundamentals (significance, basic power), including measuring incrementality through holdouts or control groups. Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate your work, and eager to build them into how you analyze, monitor, and ship. Clear written communication for briefs, experiment docs, and results. Ability to own and prioritize multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment. Nice to have (but not required): Experience with dbt or warehouse modeling and BI tools. Marketplace, lead-gen, or ecommerce funnel experience.
