About Too Good To Go At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. 40% of all food produced in the world is wasted, contributing to 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. We’re more than an app, we are a certified B Corporation working across 19 countries to drive change through our marketplace app, educational tools, legislative work, and logistics initiatives. We’re growing fast: Our community of 118 million registered users and 246,000 active partners across 19 countries, have together already prevented 443+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding over 1.198.000 tonnes of CO2e! The Role Unlike our core local marketplace—where customers pick up "Surprise Bags" in-store—our Parcels business delivers ambient, shelf-stable surplus food directly from major FMCG manufacturers and wholesalers to the customer's door. In this role, you won't just sit in a central data team; you will be embedded directly alongside Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Software Engineers in the Parcels product domain. You will act as the dedicated data engineer for Parcels, designing the data pipelines and warehouse architecture needed to support direct-to-consumer logistics, inventory management, and manufacturer partner analytics—all while remaining connected to our overarching central data infrastructure. Tech Stack Our data stack consists of Airflow, Python, dlt, AWS (Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, Glue), dbt, Metaflow, and Terraform managed via GitOps principles. Key Responsibilities Product-Embedded Data Architecture: Design, build, and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines tailored specifically to logistics, inventory management, and operational warehouse processing. Operational Maturity: Drive the shift from manual processes to scalable, automated data solutions to support high-growth supply chain features. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers and Tech Leads within the Parcels domain to translate operational use cases into clear, robust technical requirements. Central Infrastructure Ownership: Serve as the primary link between the Parcels team and the central Data Platform team, balancing embedded tickets with overarching platform standards. Data Quality & SLAs: Ensure high data availability, lower latency (e.g., tracking how long parcels take to reach consumers), and strong data governance across warehouse and logistics workflows. Key Requirements Logistics & Ops Mindset: Experience working with operational, inventory, or supply-chain data systems (e.g., warehouse latency, logistics tracking, or order fulfillment). Technical Mastery: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with deep knowledge of modern data warehouse internals (preferably AWS Redshift). Pipeline & Infrastructure: Demonstrated experience with Airflow (or similar orchestrators), dbt, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform). Data Ops & CI/CD: Experience applying DataOps, GitOps, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Docker) to streaming or batch data applications. Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to push back on requirements, simplify complex operational needs, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. What We Offer Opportunity to work at a certified B Corp and directly reduce food waste globally. High-impact embedded product role with direct ownership over a strategic business priority. Work-life balance focus (no mandatory overtime or standard on-call duty). Hybrid work setup in our Copenhagen HQ (4 days in office). To be part of an international company, with over 1,300+ colleagues across 19 countries that are on the same important mission. An informal environment, working alongside 180+ passionate people within Tech & Product We celebrate our differences and our successes and have a strong values-driven team culture. Our values We win together: Food waste is a big beast to fight. We believe in a #oneteam. We raise the bar: We always push for more. We work smart, smash barriers and elevate one another. We keep it simple: Our ambitions are bold but our solutions are simple. We build a legacy: We’re proud of the change we’re driving. We care: We always look out for each other. Caring is also about the way we do business. We do the right thing. How to apply We take recruitment very seriously, so please carefully read everything we have written above. Please also check our website and international media in order to get a good overview of Too Good To Go. Please submit your CV and Cover letter in English. Please note that we only accept applications coming through our platform. No CV or Cover Letter will be accepted by email or LinkedIn direct messaging. A Movement for Everyone We want to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. With that mission, it’s only natural that we want to build a diverse and inclusive team of highly capable individuals who are passionate about doing things in a better way. We strongly believe we all excel and are more creative when we’re allowed to be ourselves, and we’re committed to a culture where all of us belong. We are an equal opportunity employer and all employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need. If you need reasonable accommodation at any point in the application or interview process, please let us know.

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
