This is Adyen Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster. Senior Product Manager - In-Person Payments Reliability In-person payments at Adyen power the in-store experience for the biggest brands. As this solution is growing exponentially, we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Devices team and shape the platform capabilities that help us operate, release and scale our global in-person payments device fleet safely. This role sits in our Engineering Integrity area: the team that builds the testing, release, observability, certification and security capabilities used by our In-Person Payments product and engineering teams. These capabilities are critical to improving fleet stability, launch quality and developer velocity as our product portfolio expands across terminals, SoftPOS and bring-your-own-device solutions. The team focuses on building, enhancing and maintaining capabilities such as: Emulators, robot testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing infrastructure Release and rollout infrastructure for our fleet of devices Monitoring and insights into device and payment application health Certification tooling, capacity and strategy Security and compliance readiness across device software, release and certification flows Tools and processes that make launches safer, more predictable and easier to scale This is not a ticket-management role. It is not a pure delivery role. You will define the product direction for a broad, engineering-heavy platform area: understanding the teams that depend on these capabilities, setting clear priorities, defining success metrics and connecting the work to broader Payments and business outcomes. What you'll do: Define the product vision and roadmap for the platform capabilities that support fleet stability, testing, release, observability, certification and security readiness. Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to build a broader vision for device fleet stability and reliability across In-Person Payments. Turn a broad engineering-led area into a clear product area with users, outcomes, priorities, trade-offs and measurable impact. Own the product direction for testing infrastructure, including emulators, robot testing and hardware-in-the-loop setups. Provide tools built around the needs of the teams that use them, by understanding their workflows, pain points and release risks. Own the product direction for release and rollout infrastructure, including staged rollouts, automated release signals and rollback tooling. Make release processes across our fleet of devices safer, more automated and more predictable. Drive the product direction for monitoring and fleet health insights: the data and tooling that help teams understand device and payment application health, detect issues early and act before merchants are impacted. Shape the approach to continuous pre-certification tooling, capacity and strategy, so certification becomes a final validation step rather than a place where issues are found late. Collaborate with Security, Certifications, Engineering, Product and vendor-facing teams to embed quality, compliance and release readiness earlier in the lifecycle. Define clear metrics for product stability, launch quality, release confidence and adoption of the platform capabilities you own. Ensure the roadmap is tied to clear business outcomes and aligned with the broader Payments and company strategy. Who you are: Knowledge - You have a strong understanding of software delivery, testing, observability and release processes. Experience with technical platforms, infrastructure, developer tooling, reliability products or device platforms is a strong plus. Mindset - You are a self-starter who can create structure in an ambiguous environment and build product management for a technical area from the ground up. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen. Studies show that women and members of underrepresented communities apply for jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. Does this sound like you? If so, Adyen encourages you to reconsider and apply. We look forward to your application! What’s next? Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable candidate experience is critical for us. We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 5 business days. Our interview process tends to take about 4 weeks to complete, but may fluctuate depending on the role. Learn more about our hiring process here . Don’t be afraid to let us know if you need more flexibility. This role is based out of our Asmterdam office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
