What's exciting about the role The Senior Sales Manager (Account Management & Business Development) is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding strategic customer relationships, and leading sales initiatives across new and existing clients. This role combines leadership in complex account management with proactive business development, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while identifying and securing new opportunities to accelerate growth and performance. This is a critical senior sales leadership role in the Korean business. The customer set and sales channels comprise a very significant part of our Portfolio of customers. Includes new business, retention and revenue harvest activities. The role encompasses both direct activity such as lead generation as well as responsibility for managing the key bank and partner channels. This is an end-to-end sales leadership role combining channel management, lead generation, sales execution, and customer retention/management. The role will act as a key stakeholder and contributor to product delivery and product management, process improvement, project delivery/management, stakeholder management and governance. The role will closely align with the Verifone APAC leaders to develop and deliver strategies in support of the businesses financial and strategic objectives. Roles and Responsibilities: Account Management Own and grow a portfolio of high-value strategic accounts across the Korean business. Develop deep, consultative relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers. Lead any monthly governance sessions with customers Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), performance reporting, and account planning for long-term growth. Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts to increase account value. Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention by proactively addressing challenges, risks, and product adoption gaps. Direct all internal stakeholder groups to drive successful customer outcomes Handle contractual proposal preparation and contract negotiations in collaboration with other Verifone resources as is required. Business Development Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within existing accounts. Develop and execute sales strategies that expand market share and open new revenue streams. Build strong pipelines through prospecting, networking, industry events, and partnerships. Lead proposal development, RFP responses, pricing negotiations, and deal closures. Perform competitive analysis and market research to inform strategy and positioning. Sales Leadership & Strategy Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Finance, Engineering, Legal and Operations to ensure seamless customer delivery and alignment. Forecast revenue accurately and provide data-driven insights to leadership. Influence product roadmap and service enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends. Ensure compliance with all internal processes, commercial standards, and governance structures. Ensure that sales goals and targets are met and exceeded Develop and maintain strategic account plans across all targeted and existing accounts Key Relationships Accounts Verifone Leadership Team Cross functional teams Qualification & Experience: Experience: 8+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 5 years specifically in payment terminals (POS) , kiosks , or fintech hardware . Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Korean payment landscape, including the roles of VANs and PGs (Payment Gateways) Technical Savvy: Ability to discuss hardware specifications (NFC, EMV, Biometrics) and software integration (APIs, Cloud-based POS) with CTO-level stakeholders. Language: Native-level Korean and business-fluent English (essential for reporting to APAC headquarters). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
