This role elevates the precision, fairness, and efficiency of our machine learning–driven ad marketplace across Moloco’s products. This role is for an experienced engineering tech lead who can act as a vertical lead: someone who can connect the dots across engineering, data science, product, sales, marketing, and customers to improve performance end to end. The Opportunity Lead vertically focused quality initiatives from concept through launch, measurement, and iteration Own problems end to end, from identifying advertiser pain points to driving cross-functional execution across the stack Partner closely with Product, Data Science, Engineering, TPM, Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are technically strong and commercially impactful Translate customer and market needs into product and engineering priorities Step into ambiguous, fast-moving situations and improvise effectively when new constraints or opportunities emerge Represent the technical and product context for key advertisers, helping internal teams and external partners align on how to improve performance Contribute hands-on across Moloco’s stack, with exposure to areas such as bidding logic, advertiser-facing product surfaces, and quality systems Help incubate new ideas, run experiments, and turn successful vertical learnings into scalable product capabilities Communicate clearly and persuasively, bringing partners along the journey and building alignment across a broad set of functions How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me? Senior, hands-on engineer Proven ability to lead large, ambiguous initiatives end to end Strong communicator who can influence across technical and non-technical audiences Comfortable operating with more breadth than depth, and switching between strategic, technical, and operational work as needed Track record of driving outcomes directly through both technical contribution and coordination Strong preference for ads or ad tech experience Experience working on ads quality, traffic quality, search quality, feed quality, or adjacent quality-focused systems Experience leading a vertical, domain, or product area where success depended on aligning multiple teams around customer and business outcomes Experience in environments where rapid experimentation, analysis, and ideation are core to the way teams work Compensation & Benefits U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits and perks. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
