As a permanent member of the Assessment service, you will benefit from: Salary of £49,464 – £52,864 per annum subject to experience Financial package of up to £6,000 Agile working with a mix of home and office-based working Payment of Social Work England registration fees 28 days annual leave, rising to 31 days after 5 years (plus bank holidays) Option to buy up to 10 additional days annual leave Access to a wide range of training via a dedicated learning and development academy High quality supervision and strong management support Generous Local Government Pension Scheme Your Key Responsibilities Undertake timely and high-quality assessments in line with statutory guidance. Build strong, relationship-based practice with children, families and partner agencies. Engage families using motivational approaches to understand risk and need. Make informed decisions on whether statutory intervention is required or step-down support is appropriate. Complete robust risk assessments and develop effective plans to safeguard children. For This Role You Will Need A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, CQSW, CSS or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Minimum of 3 years post-qualified social work experience. Completion of ASYE. Experience of working within UK statutory children’s services, ideally within an assessment or frontline team. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
