You will work closely with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive test strategies, automate testing processes, and drive improvements in agile testing practices. Key Responsibilities: Assist Product Owner and Business Analyst in crafting user story acceptance criteria. Analyze complex software systems and design comprehensive test strategies. Conduct research on emerging technologies and develop test automation frameworks. Develop and maintain test suites, including test scenarios and test cases. Perform time-boxed exploratory testing and refine smoke test suites in the CI environment. Manage the regression test suite in QA nightly builds. Lead system integration testing and manage user acceptance testing. Manage the defect lifecycle, test artifacts, and repository. Drive continuous improvements in agile testing tools and practices. Take on a secondary role as an Application Performance Engineer or Application Security Engineer. Experience and Skills Needed: Minimum 3 years of experience in exploratory testing and regression test automation. Experience in modern web applications development using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Kotlin/Java. Experience in the development of CI/CD pipelines and application deployment using cloud services such as AWS. Experience in database migration is a plus. Working experience in an Agile/SCRUM setup is advantageous. Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal communication and listening skills. Proactive, self-driven, and motivated. Good interpersonal skills, including tactfulness, presentation, and listening skills. Proficiency with testing tools such as Robot Framework, SikuliX, Selenium, Playwright, Micro Focus Testing Tools (Mobile Center, UFT, QC, Sprinter), or EggPlant. Certified Software Testing Professional and/or Certified Software Quality Analyst is preferred. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
