The era of pervasive AI has arrived. In this era, organizations will use generative AI to unlock hidden value in their data, accelerate processes, reduce costs, drive efficiency and innovation to fundamentally transform their businesses and operations at scale. SambaNova Suite™ is the first full-stack, generative AI platform, from chip to model, optimized for enterprise and government organizations. Powered by the intelligent SN40L chip, the SambaNova Suite is a fully integrated platform, delivered on-premises or in the cloud, combined with state-of-the-art open-source models that can be easily and securely fine-tuned using customer data for greater accuracy. Once adapted with customer data, customers retain model ownership in perpetuity, so they can turn generative AI into one of their most valuable assets. About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Rack-level Manufacturing Test Engineer to design, develop, implement test strategies and optimize for fully integrated rack systems. Main focus will be on end-to-end testing of compute, power, cooling and networking components testing at the rack level. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to build robust automated test solutions, reduce test escapes, and support new product introduction (NPI) to production. Key Responsibilities Test Development & Automation Rack Test Development: Design, build, and optimize automated manufacturing test sequences specifically tailored for integrated system racks (e.g., L10 to L12 integration levels). Infrastructure & Provisioning: Develop robust orchestration environments to automate firmware flashing (BIOS/BMC), network switch configuration, and operating system deployment at scale. Power & Thermal Validation: Implement rack-level stress testing, including load-balancing validation, thermal throttling assessments, and power shelf/PDU (Power Distribution Unit) margin testing. Automated Test Infrastructure Scripting & Automation: Write and maintain test scripts using Python, Bash, or Go to automate system diagnostic tools, network topology validation, and peripheral checks. Diagnostic Tools: Integrate system diagnostics and stress-testing frameworks into the manufacturing execution system (MES). Data Analysis & Yield Monitoring: Analyze rack-level parametric test data, monitor manufacturing yields, and establish automated pass/fail criteria to catch assembly or component-level escapes. Manufacturing Support Provide hands-on support to manufacturing test technicians for troubleshooting and repair Train and guide manufacturing teams on proper use of test equipment and fixtures Ensure stability and uptime of test systems on the production floor New Product Introduction (NPI) & Global Operations New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with Hardware Design and Software Engineering teams during early prototype phases to ensure the product design supports rack-level testability (DFR/DFT). Root Cause Analysis: Drive complex triage efforts for failure analysis at the rack system level, identifying whether issues stem from cabling, firmware mismatches, network configurations, or component defects. Factory Deployment: Deploy and support test lines at global contract manufacturing (CM) partner sites, creating clear documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training for factory technicians. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field 5–7+ years of experience in system-level or rack-level manufacturing test engineering Strong hands-on experience with manufacturing test systems and troubleshooting Experience with automated test development and test equipment integration Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications Experience with hardware/software integration testing Familiarity with test frameworks, scripting, and automation tools Experience working with contract manufacturers and global production environments Knowledge of quality and reliability methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, DFx) Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing and product ramp Experience with data center hardware operations Why This Role Matters This role is critical in ensuring that integrated system architectures meet rigorous quality, performance, and reliability standards before shipping to data center or enterprise customers Base Salary Range: Base Pay Range $150,000 — $190,000 USD Submission Guidelines Please note that in order to be considered an applicant for any position at SambaNova Systems, you must submit an application form for each position for which you believe you are qualified. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
