Role and Responsibilities Build modern solutions to complex problems that are elegant and efficient. Partner with designers and product managers to solve the right problems for customers. Write well-designed, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, distribute knowledge, and help team velocity Own solving problems end to end across a variety of systems and services in close collaboration with other engineers at Taxbit Professional Qualifications 3+ years of professional programming experience building cloud applications and services Experience building polished, scalable web applications with a strong emphasis on front-end architecture, user interfaces, and customer-facing product experiences. Strong background working with design systems, component libraries, and reusable UI patterns to drive consistency and speed across product development. Deep familiarity with modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with the ability to build intuitive and performant interfaces. Hands-on experience with React and related front-end frameworks/libraries for building complex, data-heavy product experiences. Comfortable operating in product engineering environments where UI quality, reusable patterns, and front-end craftsmanship are important parts of the role. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience Proven track record of identifying opportunities to build, test, and scale AI-powered solutions. Sees AI as a force multiplier and actively looks for ways to enhance team performance through innovation & curiosity. Personal Characteristics Strong coding skills in Typescript NodeJS/React and/or Python Experience with a variety of cloud storage solutions (SQL, Blob, Document, Search) Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, DataDog, and GitHub CI/CD Compensation The base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $170,000. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
