About the Role Solutions Engineers work in a cross functional environment, liaisoning with Customer Success, GTM/Sales, Product, Engineering, DevOps teams to whiteboard our solutions. Actively drive client demos/product walk through to simplify tech and explain the value proposition to prospective clients and lead the technical integrations until successful handover to CS/GTM teams. In this role individuals are expected to partner CS/GTM teams OR with publishers/developers to understand upsell/cross sell opportunities that can align with clients business strategies, provide solutions and drive technical implementation for clients utilizing PubMatic products for optimal setup on programmatic ad-decisioning. An ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly analytical with a blend of technical and business acumen. Someone with a consulting mindset who can drive implementations, build custom tools for operational efficiency, slicing and dicing data to find optimization opportunities and a strong desire for customer satisfaction will be successful in this role. What You'll Do: Work closely with GTM teams to whiteboard PubMatic products Work on implementations, verify execution and ensure successful handover of integrations to account management teams. Debug issues with implementations across various platforms, formats & integrations like – Display/Video/Native across Header Bidding, SDK, CTV, etc.. Build custom solutions/automations for workflow efficiency. We'd Love for You to Have: 5-8 years of experience in relevant industry Inclination/liking to get under the hood, understand web/app development. Preferably have deeper understanding of adserving technology and other components of programmatic transaction – Header Bidding, SDK’s, SSAI/SGAI tech for CTV environment, etc. Exposure to tool set such as Python, SQL or other database query tools, understanding of JIRA/Confluence/Salesforce and web based applications, Web servers & Ad servers, browsers – Chrome/Mozilla Firefox and how to debug across different browsers, apps and other environments. Qualification: Must have a bachelors/Masters in Comp Science/BTech/BSc IT OR equivalent degree. Relevant industry certifications from IAB OR independent platforms like – Google: GAM/DV360/CM360, TTD, etc will be valuable. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
