About Media Futures Group Media Futures Group (MFG) is a bespoke agency solution for Google. As a global team powered by WPP Media and EssenceMediacom, we deliver strategic, creative, and data-driven media to drive brand and business outcomes. To circumvent institutional inertia and accelerate the adoption of transformative tools, we are launching Speedboat. These are small, highly agile, autonomous innovation squads deployed directly into live, Tier 1 marketing campaigns. Role Summary and Impact The Media Futures Group AI Squad is a small, agile, and autonomous innovation team dedicated to charting the course for AI transformation across APAC for one of WPP’s most important and strategic global technology clients. By seamlessly integrating AI across media, creative, and production, this cross-functional squad delivers cutting-edge innovation and pioneering work to deliver more effective and efficient business outcomes. The team’s mission is to solve specific business challenges by delivering demonstrable proof of AI-enabled marketing improvements, providing strategic guideposts for the broader organization. Utilizing best-in-class tools like WPP Open and Gemini, you will innovate and deliver award-winning creative ideas while building, testing, and scaling solutions that enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and execution for our clients. The Technical Developer serves as the master builder executing the construction within the WPP Open ecosystem. This is a highly tactical, "hands-on-keyboard" development role focused entirely on speed, agility, and fluid customization of WPP Open for the Google account. Rather than building static, long-cycle enterprise software or conducting data analysis, you will rapidly prototype, stitch together, and deploy ephemeral, agentic AI workflows designed to smash execution bottlenecks in 3-4 month long campaign sprints. Your mission is to make WPP Open feel incredibly usable, highly intuitive, and hyper-customized for our internal campaign teams, transforming a global platform into a local campaign accelerator for Google. The technical lead will also assist with bringing visible AI creative ideas to market, taking concepts from the squad and developing workflows & hardened solutions. Responsibilities Agentic Workflow Construction: Code and deploy autonomous, multi-agent AI loops designed to automate high-friction campaign workflows—such as rapid brief-to-prompt conversion, auto-trafficking preparation, and programmatic creative variation. API Stitching & Orchestration: Connect WPP Open’s core AI engines directly to campaign tools, platform APIs (Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok), and the creative technologist's prototypes via lightweight backend APIs. WPP Open Customization & UI/UX Enhancement: Build custom front-end interfaces and wrappers to make the complex backend capabilities of WPP Open feel friction-free, intuitive, and highly usable for our day-to-day media and strategy teams. Rapid Prototyping & Live Sprint Debugging: Execute real-time debugging and hotfixes on live agentic tools to keep the squad moving at maximum velocity. Ecosystem Adaptation: Actively interfaces with the central WPP Open product teams to pull down new features, provide direct feedback from the Google account trenches, and customize those tools for immediate local market deployment. Skills and Experience A minimum of 5 years of applied experience in software engineering, rapid prototyping, or technical solutions engineering. At least 2 years of hands-on experience building autonomous agent workflows, multi-step orchestration loops, context engineering, and secure tool-calling schemas (e.g., Anthropic API, Vertex AI, Gemini). Exceptional coding and scripting capabilities utilizing Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or Go , paired with strong front-end web development skills (HTML, CSS, modern JavaScript frameworks) to build highly usable interfaces. Proven track record of connecting unstructured data types (like prompt strings, images, and video blobs) across disparate platform APIs. Key Competencies WPP Open Optimization: The unique ability to navigate, hack, and extend the WPP Open platform, making its underlying capabilities hyper-accessible and tailored to the specific operational needs of the Google media squad. Agentic "Tool-Use" Mastery: Expert capability in training AI models to safely execute real-world actions (e.g., triggering a script, querying an API, or updating a UI) based on dynamic prompt conditions. Velocity Over Perfection: A "builder" mindset that thrives on creating scrappy, highly innovative, and functional prototypes over short horizons, completely unburdened by the need to build permanent corporate infrastructure. Extreme Agile Resilience: Thriving in highly volatile, fast-paced sprint environments where the tech stack changes rapidly, requirements are ambiguous, and code must be shipped in days, not months. Life at WPP Media & Benefits Our passion for shaping the next era of media is powered by our commitment to Be Extraordinary, investing in our employees to inspire transformational creativity. 24,795 developer jobs are open right now

Here's where they are and how to stand out in your next interview.

That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.

Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.

The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.

In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
