Role We are looking for a Practice Architect - Data Security to join our team. This is a Remote role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Practice Architects in the CS Technology Practices team. The Practice Architect for Data Security serves as a post-sales technical authority for the Data Security portfolio, actively leading customer delivery on complex and first-of-kind deployments while simultaneously driving technical practice development. In this role, you will own the end-to-end enablement content, reference architectures, and field methodologies that empower the broader Professional Services organization. What you’ll do (Role Expectations) Actively lead design and implementation for complex, first-of-kind, and strategic customer engagements across discovery, classification taxonomy, and policy architecture Own the practice content portfolio end-to-end, maintaining the practice library and creating reference architectures, playbooks, design templates, and runbooks Partner with Customer Success Enablement to train delivery teams and mentor consultants into genuine data security experts Maintain a working lab to validate capabilities before field deployment and convert escalation learnings into reusable assets Serve as the named NPI owner for data protection releases, engaging Product teams ahead of GA and running post-GA retrospectives Who You Are (Success Profile) You operate with integrity, adapt seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, and take complete ownership of outcomes. What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving 7+ years in enterprise security, with 4+ years hands-on in data protection including DLP, CASB, DSPM, or data governance Proven track record of delivering complex post-sales engagements at enterprise scale for a technology vendor or systems integrator Demonstrated experience producing technical methodology with clear evidence of field adoption High technical credibility across security architects and CISOs with the ability to set technical direction across matrixed teams Deep technical breadth across TLS/SSL inspection, proxy architectures, identity integration, SaaS API integration, endpoint agents, and SIEM/SOAR What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Strong technical familiarity across the Zscaler portfolio Deep regulatory grounding across GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and data residency standards Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CIPP, or CIPT #LI-NH1 #LI-Remote Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
