A quick snapshot As a Senior Software Engineer on Conga’s AI Platform team, you’ll design, build, and optimize advanced AI and GenAI products that power our enterprise solutions. You’ll take ownership of complex features, influence architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and ready for production. You’re an advanced, hands ‑ on engineer. You design and develop high ‑ quality, scalable software using Python, FastAPI, PyTest, Celery, and modern design patterns. You’re comfortable navigating complex systems and driving best practices in code quality, documentation, and test coverage. You lead technical decisions. You contribute to architectural design, participate in technical reviews, and help define how new features should be built. You mentor junior engineers, raise the bar for code reviews, and ensure the team follows strong engineering principles. You’re experienced across the full AI/GenAI lifecycle. You lead end ‑ to ‑ end development of generative AI solutions - from data collection and preprocessing to model training, deployment, and optimization. You experiment with cutting ‑ edge techniques and understand how to build production ‑ grade AI systems. You care deeply about reliability and service health. You design robust test suites, advocate for automation, and use telemetry and performance indicators to proactively identify issues. You conduct root ‑ cause analysis and drive preventive measures to improve system reliability. You take ownership in a DevOps model. You partner with product management to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software in production. You manage priorities, mitigate risks, and deliver features with clarity, quality, and accountability. You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively. You work closely with cross ‑ functional teams, contribute to knowledge sharing, and document technical decisions so others can learn and build on your work. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
