We are looking for an HR Automation Specialist to join our HR Automation team. The HR Automation team is the engine that powers our employee experience by creating scalable, innovative systems that free our people to focus on what they do best. We build smart tools and automated workflows that help our HR & People Operations teams work faster, smarter, and more effectively. As an HR Automation Specialist , you’ll play a dual role: part engineer, part innovator. You’ll design and implement tools and workflows that enhance HR processes while also helping shape the team’s automation roadmap. This is an opportunity to bring ideas to life, propose your own solutions, and see them make a real impact in a fast-moving fintech environment. Challenges that await you: Design and deploy automation solutions across the full employee lifecycle: recruiting → onboarding → development → offboarding Utilize Low-Code / No-Code platforms to rapidly build workflows, trigger automations, and enable business users Model and maintain HR databases and schemas — ensuring scalable, consistent, and reliable database structures to support automations and data flows Write custom logic and scripts in JavaScript for integrations, data transformation, API calls, and workflow automation Integrate HR systems, internal tools — via REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, OAuth and other common patterns Work with Airtable (or similar) to structure HR data, build custom views/dashboards, trigger automations, and support self-service tools Monitor and optimise existing automations: track metrics, identify bottlenecks, iterate on solutions, and build efficient systems Partner with HR, IT, and stakeholders to translate people-operations problems into technical workflows — you’re the “bridge” between business and automation Influence the direction — bring your ideas, experiment with new tools, propose how we can automate more and do better. You’ll be encouraged to pick up improvements, prototype them, and own them Document what you build, train others on it, hand over solutions to the team, and create a legacy of reusable automation and best practices What makes you a great fit: Strong proficiency in database modeling : designing relational or semi-structured data models Strong proficiency in JavaScript : you write clean, maintainable, testable scripts and know asynchronous patterns, modules, etc Experience building automation using Low-Code/No-Code tools (Make, n8n, Zapier, Power Automate, Retool, Bubble, etc.): you know how to think in workflows, triggers, actions rather than only in code Familiarity with Airtable or equivalent platform (data modelling, automations, scripting in Airtable is a plus) Solid understanding of APIs, REST, webhooks, JSON, OAuth and the patterns involved in integrating systems Ability to take a business/HR process (often manual) and translate it into an automated workflow: you map it, you break it down, you implement it Analytic mindset, attention to detail: you measure, you optimise, you iterate Excellent communication and collaboration: you’ll work with non-technical HR people and technical IT folks, so you need to bridge both worlds Self-starter attitude: you thrive in an environment where you’re given autonomy, expected to think, propose, act and deliver B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team Your bonus skills: Past experience in HR-tech, HRIS systems, or in a fintech or dynamic startup environment Exposure to other programming languages (Node.js, Python) or data visualisation (SuperSet, Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Knowledge of SQL or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and RPA, for example UIpath Awareness of data-privacy, compliance (GDPR), security practices especially as they relate to HR data Being comfortable with ambiguity — building new systems means sometimes inventing what “good” looks like Our ways of working: Innovative Spirit: A commitment to creativity and groundbreaking solutions Honest Feedback: valuing open, transparent communication Supportive Team: a strong, collaborative community Celebrating Achievements: recognizing our wins together High-Tech Environment: a team full of smart and revolutionary people who date to challenge the status quo of incumbent finances Our benefits: R elocation support to Mexico— with assistance for the employee and their family Flexible work from one of our offices or remote Healthcare Coverage Education Budget: Language lessons, professional training and certifications Wellness Budget: Mental health and fitness activity reimbursements Vacation policy: 20 days of annual leave and paid sick leave

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs
31.687IN
81%EN

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
