Its care model focuses on the whole person, helping clients address mental health challenges, improve relationships, support personal growth, and work toward healthier, more fulfilling lives. Project Description The project focuses on building a modern cloud-native healthcare platform to replace Athenahealth while maintaining business continuity. The Full-Stack Engineer will design and develop scalable healthcare applications in AWS, working across the full software stack with product, architecture, and engineering teams. Technologies Python, FastAPI / Flask / Django REST APIs SNS/SQS / EventBridge / Kafka / RabbitMQ React, TypeScript / JavaScript AWS SQL, PostgreSQL NoSQL, DynamoDB / MongoDB / Cosmos DB Git Docker CI/CD What You'll Do Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable full-stack applications using Python and React; Develop cloud-native applications supporting patient registration, scheduling, provider workflows, clinical operations, and healthcare administration; Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices supporting healthcare business processes; Develop user interfaces that enable efficient workflows for clinical and operational staff; Contribute to integrations with third-party healthcare platforms and enterprise systems, including Athenahealth, Salesforce, and other healthcare technologies; Participate in the migration of business capabilities from Athenahealth to custom applications; Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, UX Designers, and QA Engineers throughout the software development lifecycle; Develop secure applications in accordance with HIPAA requirements and modern healthcare security practices; Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and sprint planning; Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices; Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure automation; Help to identify opportunities for AI-assisted workflows and intelligent automation across the platform; Job Requirements 3+ years of professional software engineering, including experience developing full-stack applications; Practical Python experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks; Hands-on experience developing frontend applications with TypeScript/JavaScript and React; Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices; Hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS and building distributed, event-driven systems; Hands-on experience with message queues and streaming platforms, such as SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies; Experience working with both SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or equivalent; Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD practices; Understanding of scalable software architecture and modern software design principles; Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills; Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Ability to maintain daily overlap with the US team until at least 1:00 PM Pacific Time; Nice to Have Experience developing healthcare software or working with EMR/EHR platforms, such as Athenahealth, Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems; Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare security practices; Experience with patient scheduling systems, clinical workflows, or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM); Experience with healthcare integrations and interoperability standards, including FHIR, HL7, and healthcare APIs; Experience with event sourcing or CQRS; Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools; Experience with Snowflake or other modern data platforms; Experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT; Experience building AI-enabled applications or workflow automation; Familiarity with serverless application architecture; AWS certification; What Do We Offer The global benefits package includes: Technical and non-technical training for professional and personal growth; Internal conferences and meetups to learn from industry experts; Support and mentorship from an experienced employee to help you professional grow and development; Health insurance; Sports activities to promote a healthy lifestyle; Flexible work options, including remote and hybrid opportunities; Referral program for bringing in new talent; Work anniversary program and additional vacation days.
