About the Team Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to work as an intern (m/f/d) in the Institutional Projects Team, part of the Program Management Department. In the Institutional Projects Team, we work with ESA and other partners on externally funded projects. We support the definition, study, and planning for the development of future technologies, systems, engines, and vehicles. Your Tasks Support the development of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of RFA’s launch vehicle Collect and analyse environmental data for the three stages RFA launch vehicle Support the development of the Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) for the launch vehicle. Support the assessment of environmental impacts based on the LCA results. Analyse the environmental footprint of key propellants, including LOX and RP-1. Support environmental trade-off studies for different materials, propellants, and design options. Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts during manufacturing, ground operations, and launch operations. Support the development of RFA’s long-term environmental and sustainability strategy. Support prepare technical reports and presentations of LCA results for internal and external stakeholders. Support the management RFA’s institutional projects funded by external stakeholders (e.g. ESA, European Commission, governmental institutions, etc) Support Business Development and contribute to proposal writing for funded projects Support, as required, the technical work of the funded projects, mission and technical requirements, design studies and trade-offs, creation of system architectures, preliminary concepts Your Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Aerospace or Space Engineering or similar Prior work experience in the space industry and Life Cycle Assessment is a plus Knowledge of European funding programs and proposal processes (Boost!, ELC etc.) is a plus You bring technical affinity and you are an enthusiast about New Space Strong writing and formatting skills with good command of Microsoft Office Business-fluent English, both spoken and written (all day-to-day activities are conducted in English). German fluency is a plus.
