We are looking for a Senior Python engineer to join our team. Our client is an established market leader, has been processing over 18 million vehicle claims per year since 2002 with more than 1,000 employees worldwide. In our role as a digitalization expert, we combine AI-based processes and the latest technologies with the knowledge of our automotive experts. Responsibilities: Focus on backend development, designing and implementing software solutions in Python (especially FastAPI) and C# in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning Conceptualize and test scalable applications and services that meet the requirements of our customers Work closely with Data Scientists, the DACE department, and other Developers to seamlessly integrate AI models into existing systems and bring them into production Analyze and optimize the performance of our AI-Applications to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness Apply your expertise and contribute to the continuous development and improvement of our development processes and methods Requirements: Qualification: A degree in IT, physics, mathematics, or a related field, preferably complemented by a computer science degree, as well as three or more years of experience in development with C# and Python Experience & Know-how: Solid backend experience, hands-on knowledge of FastAPI and core Python, experience in hosting AI models, as well as a basic understanding of machine learning and SQL Personality & Working method: Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and stay well-organized, good team player Technical skills: Experience with Python (NumPy, OpenCV, FastAPI), AWS ML services, DevOps (GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, NVIDIA Triton), and backend development (REST API, OpenAPI, Swagger) Language: Fluent in written and spoken English Nice-to-have: Experience in LLM frameworks such as Haystack/LangChain, PyTorch as well as good in written and spoken German C# (Entity Framework Core, ASP.NET Core) We offer*: Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible A competitive salary and good compensation package Personalized career growth Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more) Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing Education reimbursement Memorable anniversary presents Corporate events and team buildings Other location-specific benefits *not applicable for freelancers

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
