Employer: Veeam VaaS Corporation Position: R&D Developer Duties: Own (design, build, and test) significant features in the K10 product related to backup and recovery of Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems. Build a deep expertise in all "cloud-native" development, including state-of-the-art technologies as well as building a product that makes enterprise customers succeed in their "cloud-native" transformation. Write, maintain and upgrade various data formats for the data movement and storage engine. Build new tests, own and analyze reports from various product benchmarks, robustness, scalability, and performance regression testing suites. Own (design, build, and test) software components with very high code-coverage. Debug using application/kernel debuggers and improve the debugging/metrics toolchain as needed. Work with and contribute to the cloud-native open-source community. Education Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field Special Requirements: Must have advanced level coursework or project background in the following: Designing and testing distributed systems with at least two of the following: Golang, Rust, and/or C++. Debugging in-development and production applications using debugging software: GDB. Designing and testing secure networked systems using at least two of the following: TCP, HTTP, and/or gRPC. Automating development tasks by scripting with Bash and Python. Developing software using operating systems: Linux, and MacOS or Windows.
