We are looking for Engineers to support our Bidding Platform organization which is the core of the RTB business, processing over 24 million requests per second while maintaining a latency of under 50 ms to participate in real-time auctions and display advertisements to our customers. You Will: Design and programming of a wide range of modules and components as part of a system that supports over 24M queries per second and low latency. Work on the optimization of the developed software in terms of response time and resource consumption. Ensure the reliability and scalability of the solutions built Create performance and correctness tests for new system components Analyse new technologies in terms of their applicability in production conditions Develop tools for monitoring and analysing the operation of the production system Continuous optimization of existing tools and processes Desired Experience: Excellent understanding of how complex IT systems work (from the hardware level, through software, to algorithmics). Proficiency in programming. Very good knowledge of fundamental Internet protocols and technologies (DNS, HTTP, cookies and others). Good knowledge of basic methods of creating concurrent programs and distributed systems (from thread level to continent level). Practical ability to observe, monitor and analyse the operation of production systems (and draw valuable conclusions from it). The ability to critically analyze the solutions created in terms of performance (from estimating the theoretical performance of the designed systems to detecting and removing actual performance problems in production). General knowledge of issues (typical problems and methods of solving them) in the areas of 'high scalability' and 'high availability'. C1 level in English and Polish Background in Computer Science, Algorithmic complexity, and System Architecture (formal CS degree, competitive programming experience like OI/ICPC, or equivalent track record). If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
