Sales Systems Engineer III – SecuritiAI About the Role The Sales Systems Engineer III – Securiti AI provides technical expertise to support the renewal and retention motion for Veeam's Securiti AI (DSPM) portfolio, working with Enterprise customers across the Americas . This role partners closely with Renewal Account Managers to inform, educate, and influence customers and internal teams on the value and technical fit of Securiti AI solutions within their existing environment. The role blends deep security/data protection knowledge with a post-sales, customer-retention mindset, helping ensure Enterprise customers realize ongoing value from their Securiti AI investment and positioning the account for renewal and expansion. What You'll Do Serve as the technical point of contact for Securiti AI Enterprise customers throughout the renewal lifecycle, supporting technical sales cycles for renewal and expansion. Deliver scripted/golden demos to help low-adoption customers understand what's possible with their Securiti AI investment, and conduct remote configuration/health reviews ahead of renewal. Consult with customers on data discovery, posture management, data access and governance, and compliance use cases, translating business objectives into clear technical requirements and outcomes. Educate customers on Veeam's data discovery and classification strengths versus competitors (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Varonis) to support renewal defense. Escalate customized demo requests, proof-of-concept requests, or technical troubleshooting to the account's mapped Securiti SE or CSM/CSE, and guide customers to open support tickets when appropriate. Transform product-based selling into customer-centric problem-solving, mapping technical work to business outcomes in renewal and expansion conversations. Collaborate with Renewal Account Managers to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the Securiti AI portfolio. Organize work efficiently using Salesforce.com for account tracking, technical notes, and process management, working effectively and autonomously in a remote environment. Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills while building and maintaining trusted customer relationships. What You'll Bring Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in solution sales, technical presales, post-sales, or technical support. Experience with DSPM, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), or related data security solutions; direct DSPM experience is a plus but not required given how new the category is. Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, HIPAA, or similar. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic data discovery/classification concepts (data discovery, data access and governance) across common cloud data systems. Spanish, English, and Portuguese required, to support the full AMER customer base, including Brazil, alongside US and Spanish-speaking accounts. Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong time management and adaptability to shifting priorities. Ability to simplify complex technical and security concepts for varied audiences. Willingness to travel up to 10–25%. Beneficial but not required: relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or cloud-specific). Note: DSPM/Securiti-specific fluency is not expected on day one; this role includes a structured enablement path to ramp technical depth post-hire. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
