Why this role exists: The purpose of this role is to deliver consistent team outputs and outcomes through predictable execution, operational efficiency, and people performance within a single team. The role directly contributes to stream -level business value by ensuring the team reliably produces high-quality deliverables aligned with stream priorities. It combines delivery ownership with people leadership to build a sustainable, high-performing team capable of growing with business demands. What you’ll drive: Delivery ownership and execution Own predictable, on-time delivery within the team, balancing speed, quality, and sustainability. Track delivery progress, manage end-to-end initiatives, handle ambiguous requirements, and address risks, blockers, and dependencies. Partner with Head of Stream , Tech Lead, and Product Managers to align priorities, technical standards, and scope trade-offs. Provide regular visibility into team progress, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders. Process improvement and quality assurance Continuously improve team delivery processes, reducing friction, bottlenecks, and the cost of change. Ensure team compliance with operational standards, SLA adherence, and adoption of stream -level processes and AI-driven solutions. Own deliverable quality for reliability, performance, and maintainability, ensuring capacity is allocated for technical debt reduction in collaboration with Tech Lead. People leadership and team development Directly manage team members, conduct 1:1s, own the performance cycle, set clear goals, and execute PDPs. Drive team engagement, psychological safety, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and onboarding. Participate in the hiring process by defining team needs, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations. Resource and capacity management Optimize team capacity, workload distribution, and on-call rotations to maximize throughput and prevent burnout. Own team-level capacity planning and flag resource gaps to the Head of Stream . What makes you a GR8 fit: Must-have 3+ years of experience in engineering delivery management and people leadership, including direct management of a software development team in a product or platform environment. Practical project and delivery management expertise with adaptable methodologies. Understanding of team-level resource planning and capacity management. Familiarity with engineering practices, CI/CD, and quality assurance processes. Ability to work with data and metrics to drive decisions and improve performance. Strong stakeholder management and cross-team coordination skills across product, engineering, and delivery teams. English language proficiency at B2+ level. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
