What You'll Be Doing As a DevOps Engineer at ScaleOps, you'll be a technical authority in everything cloud-native - leading feature development, making key architectural decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. Take an active role across all DevOps areas: ScaleOps's infrastructure and cloud environment, tools, services, and uptime. Contribute to the product's architectural and infrastructure design; evaluate and implement new cloud technologies and open-source tools to improve delivery and availability of the product. Plan and drive the growth and scale of data capacity across products. Own the smooth, production-grade execution of delivered solutions. What You'll Bring 6+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer on a high-scale distributed system, working in a Linux environment. Proven hands-on experience with containerized environments and microservices; Docker and Kubernetes required. Extensive experience working in a multi-cloud environment. A mindset geared toward automating manual work away. In-depth knowledge of build/release systems and CI/CD pipelines. Scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go. An innovative approach, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies. A strong sense of ownership and accountability. Full professional fluency (written and verbal) in both Hebrew and English. (Nice to have) Experience in cloud cost optimization or resource management.

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
