About the Role At Veeam, System Engineers work closely with Enterprise Account Managers and help to evangelise our product offerings to our enterprise customers, and enterprise-focused partners. What You’ll Do Working with sales to help secure and grow business with new and existing customers within defined territory Provide web-based and on-site demonstrations of Veeam product portfolio Work closely with Veeam¹s value-added Enterprise, Cloud and Hosting providers, including training, enablement, joint meetings, and relationships Provide pre-sales support and/or on-site installation assistance to customers as they evaluate Veeam software Together with sales colleagues build and maintain relationships with Enterprise customers and strategic alliance partners Provide input for and participate in Veeam marketing events What You’ll Bring Ability to drive business conversations with relevant C-level stakeholders of enterprise-level customers Can advise and influence customer decisions on their future business strategy, and have the ability to ensure total customer experience on assigned accounts Evangelise Veeam messaging at Veeam Marketing events Coordinate presales efforts with customers, through the help and collaboration of Veeam Solution Architects, System Integrators, and Professional Services figures (regardless if they are Veeam colleagues or via Partners) Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable in presenting to groups, both remotely and in-person 30% travel expected across the REGION A self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly Hands on experience in atleast one of Virtualisation management solutions, like Vmware, Proxmox, AHV, KVM, Hyper-v, etc Level 200/300 database knowledge across: MSSQL and Oracle. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
