About the role Coalition is entering an exciting new phase of growth in the German cyber insurance market following our strategic partnership with Allianz. This creates a significant opportunity to support Coalition’s large-market claims proposition in Germany. The Claims team at Coalition stands apart for our outstanding level of policyholder service and knowledgeable handling of claims for our insured customers. Claims, as a team, works to find ways to assist our policyholders to find solutions to cyber risk. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced cyber claims professional to take responsibility for some of the largest and most complex cyber insurance claims in the German market.. This is a role for someone who is comfortable operating at enterprise level, dealing directly with major corporates, leading brokers, senior Allianz stakeholders and a sophisticated network of legal, forensic, incident response and other specialist partners. This is a full time, remote-first position, that can be based anywhere in Germany. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end management of complex, high-severity cyber claims for large German and multinational corporates Act as a senior claims point of contact for some of Coalition’s largest and most strategically important policyholders and broker relationships Manage all cyber events including ransomware, business interruption, data breaches, privacy and regulatory exposures, funds transfer fraud, impersonation fraud and other types of cyber incidents Evaluate a full pending of claims and recommend accurate reserves Manage litigation including third party liability claims Maintain accurate and timely file documentation/information in our claims system Assess liability and damage data in affiliation with intricate claims, maintaining appropriate documentation Assess insurance coverage issues Intelligently guide and track third-party vendors and service providers’ work and spend Maintain and develop relationships with brokers, risk managers, general counsel, and vendors Identify settlement opportunities to maximize impact and preserve limits Collaborate in the defense and resolution of claims Provide data and reason-based informational assistance to underwriters Provide assistance to the business development team Liaise with partner carriers including Allianz Champion Coalition’s Active Insurance throughout the claims lifecycle Skills and Qualifications Significant experience handling complex cyber insurance claims, ideally within a large-market, multinational or complex commercial environment, for policyholders with revenue above $1 billion A strong understanding of cyber insurance coverage, policy interpretation, claims investigation and loss quantification Experience managing high-severity claims involving multiple stakeholders and specialist advisers Strong knowledge of the German insurance market and its legal and regulatory environment Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German are required .
