About Ubiquiti At Ubiquiti Inc., we create technology platforms for Businesses, Smart Homes, and Internet Service Providers, driven by our goal to connect everyone, everywhere. To date, Ubiquiti has shipped over 100 million devices worldwide, from ISP networking products to next generation of IT solutions. Our growth is made possible by the dedicated team of hundreds behind the scenes. From software developers and product managers to designers and strategists, Team UI is driven to achieve our common goal: Rethinking IT. At Ubiquiti, you’ll heighten your potential and broaden your horizons - all while shaping the future of connectivity. The Ubiquiti Prague office is looking for a Network / DevOps Engineer to own how our datacenter infrastructure is deployed, provisioned, and operated. This is a hands-on role for someone who treats infrastructure as software: everything that can be automated, should be. You'll be responsible for production deployments in the DC, device provisioning, and the CI/CD and tooling that makes it all repeatable. Candidates should be prepared to work from our Prague office at least two times per week. Requirements: 5+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or a software engineering role with heavy infra ownership Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform (or equivalent) for provisioning and config management Solid CI/CD experience — building and maintaining pipelines, not just consuming them A software engineer's mindset: you write clean, testable automation and think in terms of idempotency, state, and repeatability rather than one-off scripts Comfortable operating production environments: deployments, rollbacks, monitoring, incident response Good scripting/programming ability (Python, Go, Bash, or similar) Comfortable working close to the hardware and network layer, and debugging across the stack Strong communication and documentation abilities Fluency with modern AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.). You use AI as real leverage in your day-to-day work Highly proficient in English (written and spoken) and Czech Nice to have: Networking and datacenter experience: L2/L3, BGP/VXLAN/EVPN, switch provisioning, cabling/rack realities Experience with SONiC or other NOS platforms Observability and monitoring stacks (Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, Grafana), including infrastructure and power/PDU telemetry Virtualization and container orchestration (Proxmox, LXC, Docker, Kubernetes) Zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), PXE/image pipelines, or fleet lifecycle automation Experience running high-density DC / colocation environments Comfort owning secrets management, network config drift detection, and GitOps-style workflows Benefits: Competitive salary and 5 weeks of vacation per year Discretionary bonuses based on individual performance Flexible working hours, home office Access to all the latest Ubiquiti products and prototypes for home use and tests Top floor office near Andel with terrace and amazing view of Prague Kitchen packed with food, snacks & sodas, meal allowance, breakfast on Monday & Wednesday A collective of developers who want to make the best product. Maximum effort to keep processes to a minimum, no complex reporting and similar habits

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
