What You'll Do Architect, design, and develop a platform of services and applications on AWS that are core to our product creation platform. Influence and champion and engineering standards across the org, resulting in effective system design at both the application and service level. Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development tooling continuously improving the practices, review standards, and quality gates that keep AI-accelerated delivery reliable and maintainable. Own technical decisions end-to-end: assess tradeoffs, align partners, drive execution, and follow through without waiting to be asked. Translate business challenges into well-designed, scalable software solutions in partnership with product owners and cross-functional partners. Mentor teammates through technical direction, and code and design reviews, supporting their growth and career development. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and building a high-performing team culture. What You'll Bring 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead, staff, or senior+ capacity. Proven track record building and operating production-grade enterprise software. Deep understanding of application and distributed system design and architecture patterns. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows and the judgment to critically evaluate AI-generated code against production quality standards. Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, Go or comparable languages, AWS, Docker/ECS/EKS), CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and relational database design. A proven track record of developing engineers through pairing, feedback, and career conversations and to influencing technical excellence across a team. A strong sense of ownership and the communication skills to drive outcomes across technical and non-technical partners. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience. Nice to Have Experience with React.js or other popular frontend frameworks. Familiarity with event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS). Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code practices. Curiosity about or knowledge of Wizards brands. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
