About Ubiquiti At Ubiquiti Inc., we create technology platforms for Businesses, Smart Homes, and Internet Service Providers, driven by our goal to connect everyone, everywhere. To date, Ubiquiti has shipped over 100 million devices worldwide, from ISP networking products to next generation of IT solutions. Our growth is made possible by the dedicated team of hundreds behind the scenes. From software developers and product managers to designers and strategists, Team UI is driven to achieve our common goal: Rethinking IT. At Ubiquiti, you’ll heighten your potential and broaden your horizons - all while shaping the future of connectivity. About the role Ubiquiti Prague is looking for a QA Engineer who wants to build products that millions of people rely on every day. This role is much more than executing test cases. You’ll evaluate new features from a user’s perspective, challenge product decisions, identify hidden risks, and help ensure that every release meets the quality our customers expect. Sometimes that means finding a critical bug. Sometimes it means recognizing that a workflow is confusing, a feature leads to a dead end, or a release simply isn’t ready. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and software engineers throughout development - not just at the end. Your feedback will directly influence product decisions and help prevent issues before they reach customers. We’re looking for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, naturally questions assumptions, and isn’t afraid to ask, “Does this really make sense for the user?” Basic networking knowledge is important, but curiosity, critical thinking, and attention to detail matter even more. We value people who take ownership of quality, think independently, and care about building products they would be proud to use themselves. Candidates should be prepared to work from our Prague office at least two times per week. Responsibilities: Test UniFi desktop and mobile applications on iOS, Android, Windows, Linux, and macOS Evaluate new features from the user’s perspective and identify usability, functionality, and quality issues Discover, reproduce, document, and verify software defects Analyze customer feedback and community reports to reproduce and investigate reported issues Collaborate with developers and product managers to improve product quality and release readiness Identify opportunities to improve workflows, user experience, and overall product quality Continuously learn about networking, our products, and new technologies Must have: 2+ years of experience testing modern web, desktop, or mobile applications Solid understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, common protocols, and network services) Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility Experience working with Jira and Confluence Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix, including SSH and common shell commands Good written English for daily communication and documentation, and fluency in Czech Nice to have: Experience with Git and version control workflows Experience with performance or stress testing Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Bash , Python, or similar) Experience using AI tools to improve testing efficiency, such as issue investigation, log analysis, or exploratory testing Curiosity about new technologies and a willingness to continuously improve testing processes Benefits: Competitive salary and 5 weeks of vacation per year Discretionary bonuses based on individual performance Flexible working hours, home office Access to all the latest Ubiquiti products and prototypes for home use and tests Top floor office near Andel with terrace and amazing view of Prague Kitchen packed with food, snacks & sodas, meal allowance, breakfast on Monday & Wednesday A collective of developers who want to make the best product. Maximum effort to keep processes to a minimum, no complex reporting and similar habits

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
