ON.energy is building the backbone of energy and AI infrastructure powering grid-safe data centers and mission-critical facilities. The company supplies and operates hyperscale power systems that solve the toughest resilience challenges, delivering custom solutions for AI data centers, mission-critical facilities, and front-of-the-meter assets. ON recently announced a 5GW partnership, with 3GW currently under construction across multiple hyperscale data center campuses. With patented technology and proprietary software, ON.energy develops projects worldwide that set new benchmarks for resilience. This is a remote based role, with occasional travel expected. Position Summary ON.energy is seeking a Reliability & Procedures Engineer to strengthen how our fleet of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) is maintained and troubleshot in the field. This role sits at the intersection of engineering analysis and field operations: reviewing how reactive work orders were resolved, translating those resolutions into clear, repeatable procedures, and ensuring lessons learned are captured in our CMMS so the same problem is never solved twice. The ideal candidate is an electrical engineering graduate who is curious about how equipment fails, comfortable working directly with field technicians, and motivated to turn scattered troubleshooting knowledge into a durable, scalable body of technical documentation. Key Responsibilities Review completed reactive work orders to understand how issues were diagnosed and resolved in the field. Build new maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, and revise existing ones, so recurring issues can be resolved consistently and efficiently going forward. Build and update procedures directly within Limble, ensuring they are accurate, accessible, and actionable for field technicians. Proactively seek out and incorporate feedback from field service technicians to identify gaps in current procedures and opportunities for new ones. Support troubleshooting efforts on active equipment issues, escalating or contributing engineering judgment as needed. Analyze equipment failure data to identify trends by equipment type, site location, vintage, manufacturer, or other contributing factors. Translate failure trend analysis into clear, well-supported reports for OEM partners (warranty and quality escalation) and senior leadership (reliability performance and recommendations). Maintain organized documentation of procedure revisions, version history, and the rationale behind each change. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. 0–5 years of relevant experience; new graduates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of electrical systems, power electronics, or industrial/utility equipment fundamentals. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical troubleshooting steps into clear, field-ready procedures. Analytical mindset with comfort working in Excel or similar tools to identify patterns and trends in failure data. Comfortable engaging directly with field technicians to gather feedback and validate procedure changes. Comfort working directly within a CMMS platform (e.g., Limble) to create and maintain procedure records; prior hands-on experience is a plus but not required. Ability to manage multiple procedure and analysis workstreams concurrently. For US-based roles - What you’ll get: Competitive salary + annual performance-based bonus eligibility Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and company holidays For Mexico-based roles - What you’ll get: Competitive salary + annual performance bonus eligibility Christmas Bonus (Aguinaldo): 30 days Major medical expenses and life insurance Paid time off and holidays (per local policy) For all roles: Professional development and growth opportunities Opportunity to grow with a mission-driven team shaping the future of clean energy Equal Opportunity: ON.energy is committed to equal employment opportunity and to maintaining a work environment free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation. Accommodations: If you need an accommodation during the application process, email recruitment@onenergystorage.com Benefits vary by role and location and are subject to change. Agency Notice: ON.energy does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies, search firms, or third-party recruiters. Resumes submitted without a fully executed Master Services Agreement (MSA) and a written request from an authorized member of our Talent Acquisition team will be considered the property of ON.energy. Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
