Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain web applications using React and Next.js to create seamless, high-performance user interfaces. Must-Have Skills: 3+ years of professional experience in web development or software engineering. Experience with front-end javascript web frameworks like Angular, React or equivalent. Proficiency in Node.js for building scalable server-side applications. Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with ES6+ features. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API integration. Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications (e.g., lazy loading, caching, and image optimization). Experience with version control tools such as Git . Familiarity with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues. Desirable Skills: Extensive experience in React and Next.js , with a deep understanding of their ecosystems. Experience with e-commerce platforms or building custom e-commerce systems. Knowledge of SEO principles and server-side rendering (SSR). Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API design patterns. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive web design principles. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
