[What you will be working on] National Environment Agency (NEA) is driving Singapore’s public health and environmental sustainability efforts through digital transformation, making our licensing, enforcement, and service delivery systems more accessible, user-friendly, and impactful. From streamlining licensing journeys to designing citizen-facing services, our digital products touch the lives of Singaporeans, businesses, and government officers alike. As part of our digital transformation, we are reimagining how product design influences policy outcomes and operational efficiency. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our multi-disciplinary team to create intuitive, inclusive, and efficient user experiences for NEA’s growing digital portfolio. Lead end-to-end UX design for internal officer workflows, including application review clarification requests, inspections, and case closure Design intuitive interfaces that streamline how officers process and manage applications Shape information architecture and interaction patterns for complex multi-stage regulatory workflows Plan and conduct discovery research with officers to uncover pain points, validate assumptions, and inform design decisions Create tooling support for reviewing complex technical documents under time pressure Design for transparency: dashboards and tracking capabilities that give managers real-time visibility into application status and processing time Contribute to and evolve the design system, establishing reusable patterns that can be adapted across different licence types Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and policy stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes Guide and mentor other designers and apprentices Collaborate with other designers across NEA and play a key role in shaping UX standards, practices, and capability over time [What we are looking for] Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field/ equivalent experience At least 5 years of experience in UX or product design with proven experience in shipping high quality digital products Strong experience designing complex workflows, forms, and internal tools, particularly in the B2B/enterprise space Demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes and reduce cognitive load for users Solid grounding in user research methods and ability to lead discovery with operational staff Experience designing for multi-stage approval or case management systems Strong strategic thinking: ability to design for outcomes and operational efficiency, not just screens Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders and guide them toward better design outcomes Self-directed and comfortable operating with autonomy in complex, multi-stakeholder environments Resilient and iterative: committed to crafting delightful user experiences through continuous feedback, learning, and a balanced approach to design GovTech is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that values diverse voices and perspectives, as we believe it is key to innovation.
