This full-time, on-site Senior Software Developer role at PagoDirecto is based in Caracas and focuses on the payment products our merchants use every day: the point-of-sale application, its integrations with financial SDKs, and the web and mobile experiences around them. The person in this role owns features end to end - from integrating payment SDKs and card readers on POS hardware, to shipping the React Native and Flutter applications that run on them, to the web flows that support them. They work closely with product, design, and back-end developers to turn business requirements into reliable, production-ready software. Working with LLMs and AI coding assistants is a core part of how this team writes, structures, reviews, and deploys code, and is expected in this role. Daily responsibilities include integrating and troubleshooting financial SDKs, building and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications, diagnosing transaction issues in production, and improving the quality and release cadence of the POS product. Qualifications Hands-on experience integrating financial or payment SDKs on point-of-sale hardware (card readers, mobile POS terminals or similar), including transaction, settlement, and error-handling flows. Proven experience building and shipping cross-platform mobile applications with React Native and Flutter, published to production app stores. Solid web development experience building responsive applications that consume REST APIs. Demonstrated day-to-day use of LLMs and AI coding assistants to write, structure, refactor, review, and deploy code - with the judgment to know when to trust the output and when not. This is a core requirement of the role, not a nice-to-have. Strong software engineering fundamentals: data structures, object-oriented programming, and modular, maintainable code design. Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, performance optimization, and security best practices for handling financial data. Comfort debugging production issues where money is involved: reconciliation gaps, failed or duplicated transactions, connectivity and timeout failures. Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows, including code review. Ability to own a product vertical autonomously and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in fintech, payments, or retail technology is an advantage. #J-*-Ljbffr

24,795 developer jobs are open right now

Here's where they are and how to stand out in your next interview.

That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.

Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.

The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.

In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
