Scope EVS is looking for an enthusiastic application engineer to join our Cerebrum team. Cerebrum (an EVS product) is a complete control and monitoring solution based on an open architecture allowing the integration of third-party drivers/protocols and providing integration with a very wide range of broadcast domain equipment such as video/audio mixers, routers, video servers, multiviewers, robotic cameras, IRD, etc. As an Application Engineer, you will be working globally with leading brands in the broadcast industry to implement Cerebrum to control and monitor their technical infrastructure. Job Description Work with customers to understand their operational and functional requirements and cast them in Cerebrum workflows Install & configure Cerebrum and commission all controlled/monitored devices that need to be controlled or monitored Script in Cerebrum Designer to meet functional requirements Create User interfaces for software panels Develop new Cerebrum templates or modify existing ones using Cerebrum Designer Bugfixing and troubleshooting of code Prepare specified test plans and test cases and related software testing Do the production of relevant technical documentation Profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (College or university) 2+ years of scripting experience 2+ years of work experience in the broadcast industry (i.e. as a broadcast engineer). Preferably in a live production environment Technical Skills : Must have demonstrable, understanding and knowledge of at least one programming language (i.e. Javascript, Python, etc.) Good understanding of broadcast equipment (i.e. routers, mixers, cameras, intercom, glue, etc.) as well as video and audio technologies Preferably IP broadcasting knowledge (i.e. IP fabrics, NMOS, **, , etc.) The following experiences/knowledge are not mandatory, and will be considered an asset : Other control & monitoring software experience Deep understanding of live production workflows Understanding of MCR and playout workflows Soft Skills : Good analytical and problem-solving skills A dynamic and flexible personality who enjoys working in a team Fast learner and autodidact Ability to work under pressure with good communication and interpersonal skills Ability and willingness to travel both nationally and internationally Achieves high-quality results through thoughtful analysis and planning; target-driven and result oriented Excellent analytical skills, strong object-oriented design skills Focus on quality, detail-minded, customer-oriented Open for changes and continuous learning Capable of executing tasks autonomously Shows initiative, is curious and communicates initiatives well Good written and verbal communication skills Excellent team player High-stress resistance; does not give up in crisis situations; does not lose control under pressure Aligned with EVS values: Innovation, Passion, Excellence, Agility, Accountability, Teamwork, and Customer Success Languages: Fluent in English Knowledge of other languages is an asset Offer Offered salary : from $**** (+ depending on experience) Becoming part of the EVS Team not only means that you will receive a competitive salary in line with your skills and the market, but also a range of other additional wellness and healthcare benefits. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
