Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Automation Developer to join their dynamic team. The Automation Developer is responsible for leading the hands on identification, design, development, testing, delivery, maintenance and support of automation solutions for Aprio. This is primarily a technical role that requires strong software development expertise at both a application and platform level. This role requires strong collaboration with internal and external business and technology teams, such as peer Automation Developers, Business Analysts, Process Owners, Business SMEs, Application Architects/Owners, etc., to successfully deliver automated solutions. In this role, the Automation Developer will leverage a combination of their software development expertise, such as . NET in C#, Modern Angular, Python, SQL, Blazor, API Development/Integration, Microservices, etc., to develop automation solutions leveraging the right technology solution(s) and capabilities. Aprio's Automation Team is responsible for creatively and efficiently identifying, improving and automating wasteful processes through effectively leveraging existing and emerging technologies. The person serving in this role will have a unique opportunity to bring their software development expertise, curiosity and relentless need to find improvement to the table, while being armed with the support, tools and resources to help improve the way we work here at Aprio. This person will need to be comfortable with staying uncomfortable. It will be challenging, messy at times, and will require the fortitude to push through the expected change management bumps by winning hearts and minds in the forms of: ROI focus, increasing revenue per employee, reducing time to value in solutions, reducing errors and re-work, improve data quality and removing mundane tasks so that our Aprio team members can spend their valuable time and expertise on what matters most. Position Responsibiltiies Ability to leverage emerging and existing technology capabilities to improve and automate business processes; find the right technology to improve targeted business processes Problem solver – Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. Able to boil complex problems down to their constituent elements, and then formulate and evaluate a range of alternative automated solutions Ability to analyze, interpret, and improve business processes, while applying agile practices to design and develop impactful automation solutions Continuously monitor implemented solutions to ensure optimal performance and opportunities for continuous improvement, as well as debug and quickly resolve any issues that periodically arise Execute work leveraging Agile and Scrum methodology Be a trusted automation advisor by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice Collaborate with internal and external business and technology members and stakeholders throughout automation lifecycle Juggle multiple projects to deliver quick wins as well as strategic automation solutions simultaneously Requirements Hyper curious with a continuous learning and growth mindset; adaptive and innovative Demonstrated ability to work individually as well as within a team and build strong and collaborative working internal and external relationships through interpersonal skills Willingness to help colleagues and peers through coaching and mentorship by bringing your individual expertise to the table Ability to facilitate technical and non-technical discussions around architecture and development of automation solutions Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, projects and deadlines Understanding of Agile methodology, Scrum Framework, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); Agile development experience for management of E2E automation solution development lifecycle In depth expertise developing and deploying solutions involving several of the following: . NET , Angular, Python, SQL, Blazor, HTML In depth expertise leveraging the following tools and platforms: Azure Cloud, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Azure Data Studio, MS SQL Server, Docker, Postman and Swagger In depth expertise with Web and Application Development (Front & Backend), REST API Development/Integration as well as Microservice Development/Integration Ability to understand different SDKs through their accompanying documentation and translating that into successfully executed development tasks In depth expertise with secure authentication protocols and tools such as Okta, JWT, OAuth, SAML, MFA In depth expertise with application and audit logging, Unit Testing, etc., leveraging tools like MSTest, Azure Application Insights and Serilog Preferred Skills Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar Prior AI, GenAI, AgenticAI, ML, NLP, OCR, etc. experience is a major plus Experience and exposure to Automation and BPM tools and capabilities such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Pega, WorkFusion, Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Selenium, Playwright, etc. Previous experience in the Accounting Technology Industry Why work for Aprio: Whether you are just starting out, looking to advance into management or searching for your next leadership role, Aprio offers an opportunity to grow with a future-focused, innovative firm.
