Responsibilities Position Purpose: As a Software Engineer on the Containers team,you'llbuild, run, and continuously improve our Kubernetes platform, the foundation for application delivery.You'llwork hands-on with cluster operations, networking, ingress, storage, and core platform services, partnering closely with development, security, and operations teams to support day-to-day platform needs and drive automation through infrastructure as code and CI/CD. Using cloud-native and open-source tools,you'llhelp keep the platform scalable, reliable, and secure while improving performance and developer experience so teams can ship faster and with confidence. This is a highly hands-on role where your work directly shapes developer experience and platform reliability, enabling teams across the company to ship faster, safer,and on ascale. Primary Duties will include: Own and evolve Kubernetes platforms (Rancher/RKE2 or AKS), defining standards for upgrades, scaling strategies, performance tuning, cost/capacity management, backups, and HA architecture. Design and lead automation and golden path initiatives, including Terraform modules, Helm/Kustomizeframeworks, reusable CI/CD workflows, and scalable self-service onboarding. OwnGitOpsarchitecture with Argo CD, including digest-pinned deployments, policy-as-code, image signing/SBOM integration, drift detection, and rollback strategies. Define and harden CI/CD patterns that balance speed, security, and compliance, including identity-based cloud access, approvals, and immutable audit trails. Set strategy for container supply chain security and registry governance (ACR), including promotion models and immutability. Own platform observability, defining SLOs, alerting standards, dashboards, and capacity hygiene across clusters. Partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, and security leaders on platform adoption, incident response, runbooks, and long-term planning. Act as a technical leader on the team: mentoring engineers, influencing design decisions, and contributing to roadmap planning. Ensure security and compliance controls are built into the platform by default without slowing delivery. Qualifications To land this role you will need: 5+ years in Platform, SRE, or DevOps roles with deep production Kubernetes experience. Proven ownership of complex systems and experience driving platform-level initiatives. StrongexpertiseinGitOps, CI/CD architecture, and Infrastructure as Code. Advanced troubleshooting skills across large-scale distributed systems. Strong communicationskills and experience influencing across teams. What makes you stand out: Experience with Rancher/RKE2 or AKS in production environments. Familiarity with policy-as-code, image signing, SBOMs, or regulated CI/CD environments. Experience integrating AI/ML-driven automation into containerized infrastructure and DevOps workflows. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
