Purpose As a Senior BI & Data Visualization Specialist you will oversee the advancement of our approach to Data insights and visualization within a cross-functional, scrum-based team. We are transforming and advancing the way we do DATA at Clickatell and this role is key on propagating best practices around turning data into insights. This role will champion the adoption of cutting edge DATA trends in benefits of our business transformation. As such, expect a combination of executive and technology responsibilities from data mapping to AI adoption while strengthening of our analytical presence in the Chat Commerce market. We Do The Right Things Responsibilities of the Role o Develop and maintain strategy and a practical roadmap for an enterprise-wide BI reporting and analytics platform (Internal and External Data Products) o Provide BI & Analytics technical oversight across cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of support and collaboration within the Data team and the broader product-development organisation. o Oversee and validate the creation of Data Visualization prototypes to support the elicitation of Business needs and to turn data into actionable business insights. o Introduce and advance AI-powered business intelligence from prototyping to production: forecasting models, automated classification, and prescriptive recommendations o Hands-on participation in BI & Analytics deliverables, coding, peer reviews, delivery of execution plans, etc. o Ongoing collaboration with discipline leads: Data Architecture, DBA, Data Engineering, and Product, on defining execution plan for Clickatell’s Data Products. o Work closely with data engineers and analysts in the development of scalable and robust pipelines by means of completing and maintaining source to target mappings templates and associated metadata o Oversee the advancement of Analytical models by working in collaboration with Data Modelers and Data Analysts in translating or anticipating business needs into actionable data solutions o Work in a scrum-based team that is passionate about enabling a data culture throughout the organization o Maintain Jira content relevant and ensure the reports of the team progress is a reflexion of the team velocity and capacity o Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide subject matter insights and recommendations. o Support Data Analysts in documenting and maintaining operational procedures and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes. o Assist in the ongoing changes resulting from the roll out of Clickatell’s Data Strategy i.e. Change Management, Communication, Progress Updates, etc. We Are On A Learning Journey Requirements of the Role o B-Tech or bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or informatics or equivalent o Work Experience o 7+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence or Insights Analyst o 5+ years of experience in developing Power BI reports, including DAX calculations o 5+ years of experience in writing SQL queries in one of PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, or MySQL o 3+ years of experience working in cloud environments o Expert Knowledge and experience in data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets o An analytical mindset with superb communication and problem-solving skills. o Ability to identify complex problems, and to discuss resolutions clearly and in nontechnical terms. o Lead and train the BI Visualization Specialists. o Strong Leadership silks with the ability to delegate to a diverse team. o Knowledge and experience in Business Intelligence, data warehousing (dimensional modelling). o Experience with data transformation tools such as Airflow will be advantageous. Knowledge and Abilities o Demonstrate a passion for problem solving and data presentation technologies o Well versed in Agile framework, specially Scrum and Lean Development o Knowledge in Power BI, data ETL, data model and automation o Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data. o Self-driven, results oriented. o Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and ability to deal with all levels of management. o Passion for Mentorship and Leadership.
