Senior Security Operations Analyst

About the Role As a Senior Security Operations Analyst, you will help protect FintechOS against evolving cyber threats by leading incident response activities, enhancing detection capabilities, and strengthening our cloud and endpoint security posture. You will work closely with Security, SRE, IT, and our external SOC partner to ensure effective monitoring, rapid response, and continuous improvement of our security operations. What You'll Do Lead investigation and response activities for security incidents escalated by the 24/7 SOC. Monitor and optimize Microsoft Defender, Intune, and Microsoft Sentinel. Improve detection rules, security controls, observability, and response playbooks. Support cloud security, identity management, endpoint protection, and internal security requests. Ensure workstations and devices are properly secured and monitored. Own security improvement projects while balancing operational responsibilities. Stay current with emerging threats and proactively implement countermeasures. What We're Looking For Experience 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Incident Response, Security Operations, or related fields. 3+ years working with Azure, AWS, or GCP security monitoring solutions. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel or similar SIEM platforms. Strong understanding of networking, systems, cloud technologies, and security operations. Experience handling and resolving cybersecurity incidents independently. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Understanding of AI technologies, including GenAI and LLMs, is a plus. Technical Skills Microsoft Azure Microsoft Sentinel (preferred) or equivalent SIEM solutions Microsoft Defender Suite, Intune, Purview, Defender for Cloud Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID) PIM and JIT Access Management Incident Management frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, ITIL) Nice to Have Security certifications (AZ-500, Security+, CySA+, GCIH, ISC2 CC, CCNA, OSIR, OSDA) PowerShell, Python, or other scripting experience CI/CD and DevSecOps knowledge Container and Kubernetes security Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other compliance frameworks Key Success Metrics Incident MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve) Security control coverage and effectiveness Monitoring and observability quality Patch and vulnerability remediation compliance Security SLA performance Why FintechOS?
