About the Role This is a full-stack product engineering role at a fast-growing consumer fintech company building tools that help everyday people access earned wages, build credit, and manage cash flow. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to ship high-impact features directly used by a growing base of paying subscribers. What You'll Do Build product features end-to-end, including domain models, business logic, and API integrations. Drive incremental, data-informed releases toward ambitious product milestones. Use SQL and analytics tooling to evaluate product and system performance regularly. Test and debug complex state machines in an event-driven, pub/sub backend to ensure a seamless user experience. Ship to production daily via a rapid CI/CD pipeline, owning implementations end-to-end and responding to production incidents as needed. What We're Looking For 3+ years building backend features end-to-end for production systems. Proficiency designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication/authorization patterns and rate limiting. Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar). Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL), including data modeling and query optimization. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and code review processes. Experience debugging complex state machines in event-driven systems. Experience building consumer-facing products (not exclusively B2B). Strong computer science fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, and system design. Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Nice to have: Experience with Go (Golang) deployed on GCP. Nice to have: Background at early-stage startups or in high-growth environments. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,000 – $200,000 USD annually . Visa sponsorship is available. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
