About the Company At Avaron, you get the security of permanent employment combined with the variety of working at different customers. About the Role You will help develop and calibrate emission-related control software for modern combustion engines used in mild hybrid and hybrid applications. The role sits in a technically advanced powertrain environment where the challenge is to meet strict emission legislation while creating robust, high-performing solutions for real vehicles. You will be involved early in the development of new powertrain concepts and work with software models, engine test rigs and vehicle verification. The environment is varied and research-oriented, with a strong focus on data, experimentation and continuous technical development. It is an excellent opportunity if you want to combine hands-on testing with deep analysis and real influence on production software. Job DescriptionYou will plan and develop methods for the calibration process. You will define, manage and follow up requirements within the system and in collaboration with adjacent areas. You will calibrate and verify emission-related functions, including work connected to start control, catalyst heating, emission control and purge control. You will collect, process and evaluate data from engine test cells and other validation activities. You will verify calibration in rigs and in vehicles, including testing in different operating environments. You will drive evaluation, troubleshooting and problem analysis to improve function and performance. RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Strong interest in powertrain controls, calibration and data analysis. Fluent skills in Matlab, Python and Simulink. Fluent English, written and spoken. Driver’s license B. Nice to haveFluent Swedish, written and spoken. Good knowledge of internal combustion engines. Theoretical coursework in combustion engines, software programming and electronics. Experience with ETAS INCA. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
