MEPF Co-ordinator

Our client is seeking an experienced MEPF Co-ordinator to join their Cape Town team on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a technically capable professional with a strong Mechanical or Electrical background and proven experience coordinating building services across construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire systems across building projects Liaise effectively with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients Review and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation Identify and resolve technical coordination issues relating to MEPF systems Monitor project progress and assist with programme and budget requirements Coordinate multiple MEPF activities and ensure deadlines are achieved Provide technical guidance and support throughout the construction process Ensure work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, standards, and project requirements Report to the MEPF Manager and Construction Manager Requirements: Relevant qualification within the built environment will be advantageous 3-5 years' experience in MEPF coordination, particularly within Mechanical and Electrical systems Strong understanding of construction processes, building services, and coordination requirements Knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and Electrical standards Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Revit, or other MEPF design software Experience with project scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordinating multiple activities Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Detail-oriented with the ability to review drawings and technical documentation accurately Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge and adapt to evolving industry requirements Physically fit and comfortable working within a construction environment Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
