Our Company is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that power our digital banking and payment platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled developer with expertise in Node.js, Java, and Data Engineering to contribute to innovative fintech solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. About the Role As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing robust backend services, designing efficient data engineering solutions, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical banking systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet both customer needs and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Node.js and Java. Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data engineering solutions. Integrate backend systems with frontend applications and third-party platforms. Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and compliance with banking standards. Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development best practices. Support the delivery of high-quality software through agile methodologies. Minimum Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in backend software development. Proven experience developing applications using Node.js and Java. Strong background in Data Engineering, including ETL development and database optimization. Experience designing and implementing scalable backend architectures. Preferred Experience Previous experience within the fintech, banking, or payments industry. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Node.js and Java. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other SQL/NoSQL databases. Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and GraphQL services. Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and automated deployments. Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Knowledge of application security and performance optimization best practices. Desired Skills: Node.js and Java ETL AWS Azure Docker
