The successful candidate will have strong practical experience in debtors, creditors, cashbook, VAT, and inventory, together with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. The successful candidate will have strong practical experience in debtors, creditors, cashbook, VAT, and inventory, together with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Location: Roodepoort, Johannesburg Requirements A degree or undergraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. Relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications or equivalent practical experience will be advantageous Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a financial accounting or bookkeeping environment. Proven practical experience in: Debtors and creditors Cashbook processing and reconciliations VAT Inventory accounting and reconciliations Experience working with an ERP/accounting system is required. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate debtors and creditors records. Process and reconcile customer and supplier accounts. Perform cashbook processing and reconciliations. Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant requirements. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform inventory reconciliations. Process accounting transactions accurately and timeously. Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with financial reporting and provide relevant information to management when required. Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and accounting procedures. Utilise accounting and ERP systems effectively to ensure accurate financial processing.
