Auto Electrician

Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electrical faults. Perform preventative maintenance. Test batteries, alternators, starter motors and electrical circuits. Repair and replace wiring and electrical components. Conduct diagnostic testing. Install electrical accessories and equipment. Maintain accurate records of work completed. Ensure all work complies with company safety and quality standards. Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when required. Personal Attributes Strong problem-solving ability. Attention to detail. Reliable and responsible. Good technical aptitude. Able to work independently. Good communication skills. Safety-conscious. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. Auto Electrical Trade Test Certificate / Red Seal. Minimum 5+ years' relevant post-trade experience. Valid driver's licence. Experience in vehicle electrical fault-finding and diagnostics. Ability to read wiring diagrams. Experience with diagnostic equipment. Good knowledge of 12V and 24V electrical systems. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Advantageous Commercial vehicle/truck experience. Auto electrical accessory installations. Mechanical or hydraulic knowledge.
