IT Officer

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Officer to take ownership of its internal IT operations across multiple sites. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to manage infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, end-user support, and technology initiatives while driving innovation through AI and automation. Key Responsibilities Manage IT hardware procurement and maintain the company asset register. Support and administer network infrastructure, servers, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity. Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, licensing, and cloud backup solutions. Provide first- and second-line technical support, including user onboarding and offboarding. Manage third-party IT vendors, ISPs, software subscriptions, and service level agreements. Maintain printers, peripherals, and desktop environments. Develop and maintain IT policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity documentation. Lead cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, Microsoft Defender, email security, phishing response, and security awareness. Monitor and manage endpoints using RMM platforms such as N-Central. Drive AI and automation initiatives, including Microsoft Copilot implementation. Minimum Requirements National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3-6 years' experience in an internal IT Support or IT Officer role. Experience supporting multi-site environments. Experience managing IT vendors and Internet Service Providers. Technical Skills Microsoft 365 Administration Exchange Online Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) SharePoint and Microsoft Teams Active Directory and Group Policy Windows Server TCP/IP Networking, VLANs and Wi-Fi Firewall Administration Microsoft Defender Endpoint Security RMM platforms (N-Central or similar) Cloud backup solutions Remote support tools Patch management and vulnerability scanning Desired Attributes Self-motivated and proactive.
