Quality Controller

We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Controller to join a food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring incoming raw materials, ingredients and packaging meet the required quality, safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming raw spices, liquid ingredients and packaging materials. Conduct vehicle and delivery audits before offloading. Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and supplier documentation. Collect samples and conduct basic quality tests, including pH and moisture testing. Perform sensory assessments of taste, colour and aroma. Identify and report non-conforming materials. Maintain accurate quality and traceability records. Coordinate supplier returns, product holds and corrective actions. Requirements Matric / Grade 12. National Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or Quality Control is preferred. 1–3 years' experience in a food, or FMCG manufacturing environment. Knowledge of GMP, GLP and HACCP principles. Basic computer literacy, including Excel and ERP systems. Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
