Assist surgeons and the multidisciplinary team throughout operative procedures. Ensure accurate instrument counts and maintain theatre safety protocols. Monitor and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative journey. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with infection prevention and quality standards. Contribute to the efficient running of the operating theatre and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. Minimum Requirements: Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Degree or Diploma in Nursing. Postgraduate qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing will be advantageous. Previous scrub experience within an Operating Theatre is essential. Sound knowledge of perioperative nursing principles, sterile technique, and infection prevention practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary theatre environment. Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical decision-making skills.
