A well-established company based in Durban is seeking a Sales Representative that has experience selling maritime cranes and heavy machinery solutions into the earthmoving, mining and industrial sectors. Minimum Requirements Matric Diploma in Marketing or a related qualification will be advantageous 4–5 years' experience in sales or a similar technical sales role Experience within earthmoving, mining equipment, cranes, heavy machinery or related industries is highly advantageous Proven experience in new business development and key account management Strong cold calling, negotiation and customer relationship management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong Microsoft Office skills Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel Ability to confidently engage with technical and commercial stakeholders Key Responsibilities Drive new business development and manage key customer accounts Sell maritime cranes and heavy machinery solutions to customers within the mining, earthmoving and industrial sectors Conduct cold calling, customer visits and proactive business development activities Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable crane solutions and configurations Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, business partners and internal stakeholders Prepare quotations, commercial offers, tenders and technical submissions in collaboration with internal teams Follow up on sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to successful conversion Prepare sales reports, forecasts and market intelligence for management Deliver professional presentations to customers and industry stakeholders Stay informed on product developments, technology and market trends Participate in budgeting, forecasting and sales strategy initiatives Travel regularly to visit customers and attend business-related activities Attend international training when required Desired Skills: technical external sales external sales rep mining external sales rep Employer & Job Benefits: plus fuel card medical aid pension and funeral cover
