A well-established and reputable company is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and accounting best practices. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance Process journals and month-end/year-end procedures Manage VAT calculations and submissions Assist with budgeting and forecasting Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors Monitor cash flow and assist with financial analysis Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial reporting and projects Minimum Requirements: BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 3-5 years' experience in an accounting role Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation Experience with VAT, reconciliations and financial reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience working on an ERP system (SAP, Syspro, Pastel Evolution, Sage or similar) Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines Advantageous: Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles Experience in a corporate or multi-entity environment If you meet the above requirements and are looking for your next career opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
